Jodhpur was the former capital of the mighty Mewar Kingdom,and houses may palaces,forts & temples ,set in the stark landscape of Thar desert it is also called the Sun City-because of it's sunny weather; Or often referred to as the Blue City-due to the indigo painted houses in the old town

At 9 a.m. board a/c buses & proceed to visit one of the biggest Hill Forts in India-Mehrangarh Fort built in mid 17th Century & towering 400 feet above the city.You relive the glory of brave Rathore warriors,'while walking past the seven mighty victory gates & savour the rich collection of costumes,artefacts,medieval arms & elaborately domed palanquin,displayed in the fort museum

Also visit ,nearby located royal cenotaphs of Jaswant Thada,built & crafted of white marble in late 19th century

Now proceed to visit one of the world's largest private residences,The Umaid Bhawan Palace with 347 rooms,part of which is now operated as a Hotel. & other still serves as the principal residence of the erstwhile Jodhpur royal family.The royal family continues to play personal host to a number of European Royalty & Hollywood Celebrities.After enjoying lunch in 5 Star Hotel,return to the train & depart.
